This month, we’ve been exploring the possibility, power, and practicality of the Holy Spirit. At yesterday’s mid-week service, Pastor Naga Igbinoba  shared a teaching on how as believers we can unlock our God-given advantage. Being a Christian is not about wearing a religious label. It is a lifestyle shaped, guided, and empowered by the Holy Spirit.

In his teaching he made us understand that the Believer’s Advantage is the unique benefit that comes from having the Holy Spirit actively working in your life. It is the divine edge that allows Christians to navigate life with supernatural guidance, wisdom, and strength. Excellence begins with the heart. When we show up prepared, disciplined, and focused, we are telling God, “I value the gifts You’ve given me.” The Bible shows us that those who excel in their work will stand before kings. Your diligence in the little things is what positions you for greater assignments.

The call to do your best applies in every area; your career, relationships, service in the Kingdom, and personal growth. It means being intentional about how you use your time, sharpening your skills, and avoiding shortcuts. It’s choosing faith over fear, persistence over excuses, and gratitude over complaints.

He also said that when we commit to doing our best, we attract God’s favor, inspire others, and create a legacy of impact. So today, take a fresh decision to give your utmost in every task. Excellence honors God, blesses people, and prepares you for divine opportunities.

At Daystar Christian Centre, we believe that a life of excellence is not a luxury but a calling for every believer. God never created us to live in mediocrity. He placed within us the ability to grow, to innovate, and to reflect His glory in all we do. This sermon is a reminder that doing your best is not about perfection, it’s about  commitment, diligence, and faith. Watch the recap here
