The Word of God is alive and powerful. During our last Mid-week service, Pastor Deborah Ojo reveals a life-changing truth: through Jesus’ suffering on the cross, we are fully healed. Healing isn’t wishful thinking, it is a finished work secured by the stripes Jesus endured for us.
Pastor Deborah shares a personal healing experience that deepened her faith in God’s power. She reminds us to pray boldly and stand firm on His promises. As Isaiah 53:5 declares, “By his stripes we are healed,” and 1 Peter 2:24 confirms, “By whose stripes you were healed.” These scriptures assure believers that Jesus’ wounds grant us both spiritual and physical healing.
Healing extends beyond the physical body. The World Health Organization defines health as complete physical, mental, and social well-being, not merely the absence of disease. Pastor Deborah explains that unforgiveness, sin, disobedience, and unhealthy lifestyles hinder our healing. Forgiveness restores our spirits, and honoring our bodies as temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20) means embracing good habits like adequate rest, proper hygiene, and regular medical check-ups.
“An abundant life is not full of sickness and disease,” Pastor Deborah emphasizes, quoting John 10:10. Jesus came so we might have life and have it abundantly. Healing is already provided; we only need to claim it by faith.
This message encourages believers to reject sickness and receive the healing Christ purchased for us. It’s like having a debt paid in full, you show the receipt and walk free. Pastor Deborah said “ I refuse to carry what He has carried for me. Boldly declare, “I am healed by His stripes,” and live in the fullness of God’s healing grace.
