Daystar Christian Centre has officially commenced its 30th Anniversary celebrations, marking three decades of God’s grace, transformational ministry, and global leadership impact.

Founded in 1995 on a divine instruction “to raise role models,” Daystar has remained committed to building people rather than structures, empowering men and women through God’s Word to live purposefully, lead with integrity, and transform their communities.

Reflecting on the journey, Pastor Sam Adeyemi described the milestone as a testimony to vision, faith, and grace. “Thirty years ago, God gave us a vision that was bigger than anything we could imagine, to raise men and women who would reflect His character in every sphere of life,” he said. “It was never about numbers but transformation. Today, we are grateful to see how that seed has grown into a global movement, touching lives, families, and nations.”

From its humble beginnings on the dining table of the founders’ home in Lagos, Daystar has evolved into a worldwide ministry reaching millions through worship services, leadership academies, humanitarian initiatives, and digital media outreach. Over the years, the church has become a model for teaching excellence, compassion, and innovative ministry, shaping leaders in governance, business, education, and beyond.

The Deputy Senior Pastor, Nike Adeyemi emphasized that the 30th Anniversary is a celebration of grace and people. “Our story is one of grace, grace that transforms ordinary people into extraordinary testimonies,” she said. “Every changed life is proof that when we build people, God builds everything else. As we celebrate, we are also preparing for the future, to equip a new generation of leaders and innovators who will carry the light of Christ into every part of society.”

The anniversary theme, “A Mosaic of Changed Lives,” captures both gratitude for the past and vision for the future. To commemorate the milestone, the church launched a global storytelling campaign, #MyDaystarStory, inviting members and partners worldwide to share personal stories of transformation, healing, purpose, and restoration. These testimonies form a living tapestry of God’s faithfulness over three decades.

The 30th Anniversary Celebration Services will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Daystar’s Oregun Centre, and continue on Sunday, November 16, 2025, across all Lagos centres and online for the global audience.

Pastor Sam added that the celebration is both a reflection and a recommissioning, “This 30th Anniversary is not just about looking back; it’s a call to look ahead, to keep raising role models who make Christ attractive in governance, business, education, and every sphere of life. The world needs people who lead with values, and that remains our core mission.”

In her closing words, Pastor Nike Adeyemi expressed heartfelt gratitude to all who have been part of the journey. “To everyone who has walked this journey with us, our members, partners, volunteers, and friends, thank you. This is your story too. Together, we will keep inspiring faith, hope, and positive change for generations to come.” She also acknowledged the crucial role of the media over the past 30 years in amplifying Daystar’s message of hope and transformation.
