Being a role model isn’t reserved for a special group of people, and it’s not an impossible standard to reach. In this impactful midweek teaching, Pastor Seun Ladokun reminded us that every believer already carries what it takes to shine. Role modeling begins with identity, not performance. The moment we received Christ, we became light, and that light is meant to show in our everyday lives.

Using Matthew 5:14–16 as a foundation, Pastor Seun explained that we don’t struggle to be the light, we simply let the light shine. Our daily roles, decisions, attitudes, and relationships are the real platforms where God displays His glory. Here are the practical ways to live as a role model:

1. Shine in Your Everyday Roles:

How you live at home, at work, and in your community matters. Whether you’re a spouse, parent, student, business owner, or colleague, God uses these roles to reflect excellence, kindness, integrity, and love.

2. Model Christlike Character at Home:

Our homes are our first classrooms. Pastor Seun encouraged families to show honor, empathy, respect, and devotion, not because others are always perfect, but because Christ deserves it.

3. Let Your Lifestyle Preach in the Workplace:

At work, believers should stand out through excellence, integrity, honesty, diligence, and honor. These values make our faith visible and attractive.

4. Show Love, Loyalty & Empathy in Relationships:

People around us should experience God’s love through our words and actions. No gossip, no manipulation, just genuine care, loyalty, and kindness.

5. Position Yourself to Influence Positive Change:

Believers are called to initiative. In your community, workplace, and network, step up to model peace, responsibility, and leadership.
