Blossoming By Faith. This year we will need to obey God when it does not make sense. Sometimes we talk about faith in ways that make us feel good, in ways that make it look easy but if you want to get lush greenery out of a desert you will have to plant seeds in the desert and that doesn’t make sense. (Isaiah 35:1-2 NLT)
Christ came like a plant growing in the desert; a child born of a virgin. This already proved to Mary that God can produce something out of nothing. It is human beings that call problems problems for God it is an opportunity to display his power and creativity. Mary went to the waiters at the wedding reception in Cana and told them to listen to whatever Jesus asked them to do.
But his mother told the servants, “Do whatever he tells you.” (John 2:5 NKJV)
We may have sophisticated discussions on faith but this is one of the most simplified and powerful statements on faith in the Bible. God will ask you to do things that don’t make sense. (Hebrew’s 4:1 NKJV)
Our lives are a journey of faith and it is a lifetime journey, and there’s no automatic promotion. Use the small circumstances of your life as a test of faith, don’t go paranoid about your small needs, pay attention to God and do what He says. Praise is the language of faith, when we thank God for things, it shows that we trust Him. When the Holy Spirit comes to change your situation it will first change your thinking and your emotions because God does not function in an atmosphere of sadness.
We must prioritize joy this year. Until we get on the frequency of joy we will not be able to download revelations. We need to fight the battle with our minds and emotions to grow our faith. In James 2, James says faith without action is dead, he says God talk without God acts is outrageous nonsense. We can’t afford to focus on our problems this year, we need to focus on God.
