At Daystar Christian Centre, we are committed to building stronger communities by investing in people and initiatives that promote unity and growth. In line with this commitment, we donated football jerseys to the Oregun Football Club during a community engagement visit held on Sunday, February 1, 2026, at Oregun High School, Lagos.
Speaking at the event, Associate Pastor Solomon Kpandei expressed appreciation for the atmosphere of peace and collaboration that has long existed within the Oregun community, emphasizing that these values are essential for youth development and collective progress. Associate Pastor Boluwatife Oluyomi also reaffirmed Daystar’s commitment to peaceful coexistence and partnership, encouraging ongoing dialogue and shared responsibility in nurturing young people.
Community leaders described the Oregun Football Club as a grassroots initiative that brings together youths, professionals, and former footballers, serving not only as a sports platform but also as a space for mentorship, fitness, and community bonding. On behalf of the community, Mr. Brown A. James, Provost Officer for the Oregun Football Community, expressed gratitude to Daystar, noting that the donation affirms the community’s value and will support youth empowerment through sports.
The donation is expected to boost team morale, strengthen identity among players, and reinforce the role of sports as a unifying force. Through initiatives like this, Daystar Christian Centre continues to foster peace, partnership, and positive community impact.
