It affords the church to give back to the society through training people in various skills.
According to the registrar, Pastor Paul Nwolisa, Daystar Skills Acquisition Program, (DSAP) is free and beneficiaries were required to have little education for them to grasp what the program entails. In his word, this is the 25th edition of the program and it has successfully run for close to a decade now. He stressed that Daystar Christian Centre believes money is tied to value offering. “You need to offer values in terms of your skills to earn money. Money is tied to your skills which accounts for why we train these people in various skills for them to earn money outside” Paul Nwolisa said.
Speaking on the graduation requirement, the registrar said students must pass through the school for the period of ten days. They must submit assignment/projects given during the training. He confirmed this 25th edition of the program graduated a total of 1066 students out of 1216 admitted.
“DSAP has taught me that nothing is impossible. I am most grateful because I can now exchange value with the graphics skills I have learnt for free within these two weeks. I pray God bless Daystar richly” Dotun Adedoyin one of the excited participants, said while sharing on his experience.
Another graduate, Mrs Akeem Nofiu, said “though I am a Muslim by religion. But what this church has done with this training in life is immense. I lost my banking job few months ago and I was almost losing hope. But with the help of Daystar, I have learnt bead making for free. I pray Allah bless the leadership of this church. I am grateful”
Over the past years, the Daystar Skill Acquisition Program (DSAP) has played a pivotal role in raising a unique breed of young entrepreneurs who would do business with a difference; while earning legitimate money.
