Don’t Give Up 2. Last week we drew inspiration from the Apostle Paul, he was on a ship where he was being taken as a prisoner to Rome and the ship almost drowned. And we may ask, how can someone as anointed as Paul have faced those challenges, But Paul had warned them against the voyage.
Sometimes we experience challenges, and it’s not because of anything we have done, it is because we are under authority. If you are part of an organisation, family or even a country, the leaders’ decisions are binding on you. Some of us are riding through storms right now that are no fault of ours but they are storms all the same.
While everyone on the ship was focused on the storm, Paul was focused on God. He came up with a revelation from God. (Acts 27:20-26NLT). Keep your focus on God because, despite the storms around, what God says is what defines your reality. Trials transform you, but it’s up to you to decide if they will leave you bitter or better. Don’t give up because what is not working for you is working for you. With God on our side, we never lose, we can’t lose.
God leverages trials to achieve His divine plans and purposes. (James 1:2-4NLT). Don’t get out of the process prematurely, there are qualities that God is trying to produce in you and rushing and compromise will frustrate the process. (2 Corinthians 12:6-10 NLT).
Endure suffering along with me, as a good soldier of Christ Jesus. (2 Timothy 2:3 MSG)
