Restoration is God’s promise to His children, and faith is the key that unlocks it. In the sermon Faith for Restoration, Pastor Bolu Oluyomi during our last mid-week service , reminded us that prayer is not powerful but connects us to the all-powerful God who restores. Whether it’s health, relationships, finances, or purpose, the God who answers prayer can restore what was lost.
Pastor Bolu drew from James 5:13–18, reminding us that “the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up.” He explained that true restoration happens when we anchor our hearts in God’s Word and stand firm in faith, no matter the challenges we face.
Yes, troubles will come, but Jesus Himself reassures us in John 16:33: “In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
Through his personal testimony of his parents’ restored marriage after 20 years of separation, and his own journey of healing from health challenges, Pastor Bolu shared that God’s Word never fails. Faith does not ignore reality but stands firmly on God’s promises until they manifest.
Restoration begins in prayer, whether through worship, intercession, supplication, or declarations of God’s Word. It is not about the volume of our prayers, but the God who hears and answers them. Jeremiah 30:17 assures us: “I will restore health to you and heal your wounds,” declares the Lord.
This month’s theme, ‘Faith for Healing’, is a reminder that no situation is ever too hopeless for God. With faith, what looks broken can be renewed, what’s lost can be recovered, and what’s wounded can be restored. Hold on to God’s Word and trust in him, your testimony is closer than you think.
