In August 2024, everything changed for me.
It started with what felt like typical lower back pain. Soon, the discomfort began shooting down my left leg. I decided to get it checked, and the MRI results were alarming: a herniated disc was pressing on the nerves in my spine. The doctors warned me: without urgent surgery, I could face paralysis and permanent incontinence.
Naturally, I was terrified.
Four different specialists confirmed the same thing. They scheduled the surgery, but to my dismay, it got pushed back four times. With each delay, fear tightened its grip. I couldn’t stop imagining the worst: losing mobility or drowning in hospital bills. But even in that darkness, I could sense that God was near.
I reminded myself, “This life of pain is not the abundant life Jesus died for.”
So I leaned in. I worshipped like never before and anchored myself in scriptures such as Jeremiah 32:27 and John 10:10. They reminded me that God is not only able: He’s willing. And Healing was near. Then, during a Sunday service, Pastor Boye made a declaration that pierced my heart:
“Jesus touches your spine now. Restoration for your spine.”
I knew that word was for me. I didn’t hesitate, I messaged it to my husband, declaring it out loud and claiming it in faith.
Finally, the surgery happened. It went smoothly, without complications. I walked again, completely free from pain. God had restored me.
Even more, He took care of the finances. The bills I feared? He handled them in ways I still can’t fully explain.
This journey taught me something deep and lasting:
God’s Word isn’t just ink on a page: it’s alive. He is faithful. He truly watches over His own.
