How are you doing? (5)

Pastor Boye Oloyede

Text: Matt 25: 24-26.

One of the major issues on judgement day will be how we treated the vulnerable around us. One of the purposes of power is the empowerment of the weak.

When God gives you power and resources, it is not for you. It is for the people around you. God knows that the resources will empower them. The anointing that is turned towards self will be reduced to annoyance. James 4:3 (NLT) .

One of the reasons why you ask and you don’t receive is because you ask for the pleasure of yourself. Jesus mentioned the importance of caring for the sick and visiting people in prison. It Is when you face challenges that you know who is with you, who you have in your corner.

The challenge we are giving ourselves is to check on someone. You can be amidst a large crowd and still be lonely. If people around you can’t trace their achievement to the power given to you, you are powerless.

When Love is absent, leaders take advantage of the weak. It is not how much power or opportunity is given to those in power. It is how much of these things we give to those who cannot afford them.

As you go this week, know that you have power, it can be in any capacity. Use that power to lift someone. And as you do that, heaven will open doors for you.
