Daystar Christian Centre’s Profile

Daystar Christian Centre was founded on November 18, 1995 by the Senior Pastors, Sam & Nike Adeyemi, with a commitment to help people discover and release their potentials thereby raising role models in the society. The Church which started with about a hundred people currently runs four power packed Sunday services with over forty thousand people in attendance every week.

In fulfillment of the church’s mandate, in January 2002, we established a leadership school called the Daystar Leadership Academy (DLA) where leadership principles are taught to develop a new generation of leaders for Nigeria and the world in its entirety. We believe Africa has the potential for development and leadership development is the key to solving the problems of Africa. The school offers Basic and Advanced Certificate courses in Leadership. Our church sponsored delegates from African countries including Kenya, Ethiopia, Gabon, Gambia, Mali, Senegal, and other countries to attend the Executive Basic Program. Our standards for excellence plus our unique course content have had great impact on the leaders from around Africa and God is helping us to shape the

leadership culture across our continent. Since inception, over thirty-nine thousand people have passed through the school till date.

The Daystar Skill Acquisition Programme (DSAP) is one of the initiatives of the church geared towards empowering people with practical trainings and skills to build lasting business brands and maximize their potentials in God. Over 11000 participants have graduated from this programme having been empowered with practical skills in different crafts including Makeup, Photography, Web-Design, Graphic Design, Sewing, Generator Repairs, Shoemaking, Beads-Making, Cake- Making, Catering, Pastries, Fashion Design, and the likes.
