Senior Pastor, Pastor Sam Adeyemi, delivered a deeply reassuring message during the Special Communion Service, reminding us that while life is full of uncertainties, questions about the future, personal struggles, national instability, and unpredictable seasons, God’s covenant remains His answer to human uncertainty.
Drawing from Abraham’s experience in Genesis 15, Pastor Sam explained that fear of the unknown is not new. Whether it’s career concerns, family issues, financial pressure, or the state of our nation, God responds the same way He did in Scripture: with a covenant that guarantees His presence, His protection, and His promise.
When Abraham struggled with doubt, God changed the picture in his mind. He took him outside and showed him the stars, a vision far greater than his current reality. God didn’t just promise a child; He promised nations. In the same way, when our vision becomes clouded by challenges, God expands our perspective through His Word.
Pastor Sam taught that the blood covenant is the strongest agreement known to man, recognized across cultures as the merging of lives. So when God cut a covenant with Abraham, it declared:
“Wherever your name appears, I show up too.”
This truth gives believers boldness to face the future. Through Christ’s sacrifice, we now have a superior covenant that makes us one with God. Whatever cannot stop Him cannot stop us.
Pastor Sam also highlighted Israel’s deliverance during the Passover, proof that God often steps in right at the brink of destiny. The covenant positions us for divine turnaround, restoration, and progress.
As Daystar marks 30 years of impact, this message couldn’t be more fitting. The covenant has carried us through decades of change and will guide us confidently into the future.
The covenant still works, shielding, guiding, and shifting our lives toward God’s perfect plan. Watch the replay here.
