The Covenant (3)

Pastor Sam Adeyemi

Text: Psalms 89:34-37

A blood covenant is the highest form of agreement and it runs deep.

It was God that introduced the covenant to man.

To make most of our relationship with God, we must be conscious of the covenant.

When we come into covenant with God, our identity changes. Galatians 2:20

Whatever cannot stop God will not stop you anymore because you are one with God. But you need to trust Him enough that He will do what He says He will do.

There is no combination of people and systems that can stop you and God.

It is faith that activates God’s grace and power to work in our lives.

Our insecurities make us introduce human abilities to the covenant.

We need absolute trust in God to birth those miracles and promises. 1 Samuel 15:23

We need to be healed of the fears that keep us from trusting God.

If you cannot stand against popular opinion, you are not likely to realize His plans for you.

Stop branding yourself with your circumstances and focus on what God has said about you.

If you cannot trust God enough to wait for His promises, you may fail in fulfilling your part of the covenant.

Most times we jump ahead to do things our way when God was still going to do them. 1 Samuel 18:6-9

When we are insecure, we are threatened by the success of other people.

To Trust God, fall in love with Him. Love builds intimacy, intimacy builds knowledge, knowledge builds trust.

The proof of our trust in God and His integrity is our obedience. Proverbs 3:5-6.
