The Holy Spirit and Marriage (3)

Pastor Kenny Folarin

Text: Galatians 5:16 (NLT)

Our human nature has weaknesses. We should realize that our capacity for love, patience, care etc is limited and when you keep giving the piece of your mind in every situation, one day there will be nothing left to give.

The good news is that we have a helper that helps us with our weaknesses. We have the Holy Spirit and when you listen to Him the outcome is always powerful Gal 5:17-18.

Obedience to the Holy Spirit is the Key. It is the escape route to have peace in the marriage.

The more we disobey the Holy Spirit in our marriage, the more His presence will be absent in the union. The Holy Spirit gives us the capacity to love and forgive when we allow Him in our marriage. Galatians 5:24.

Marriage is meant to be enjoyed not to be endured. It is the Holy Spirit that gives us the capacity to love. Leverage on the Holy Spirit to enjoy peace, calmness and joy in your marriage.

Commitment to obeying the Holy Spirit is the strategy. Jeremiah 3:33

Don’t fight over what you are supposed to pray about. Don’t get to that point where you are unable to pray with your spouse.

Always remember to pray in your marriage, call on the Holy Spirit to help you.

God has a purpose for your marriage, your marriage is unique. The greatest mistake you can make in marriage is to compare your spouse to someone else.

When you are at the point of confusion, ask the Holy Spirit for help. The best person to report your spouse to is the Holy Spirit.

You will disappoint the devil in your marriage. Whatever is destroying marriages, will not destroy yours in Jesus name.
