What is the resurrection?
The resurrection is the foundation of the Christian faith. 1 Corinthians 15:12-22 (TPT)
Without the substance of the resurrection, there wouldn’t be anything like Christianity, and our faith would be a fantasy. Resurrection is the foundation of the Christian faith.
Resurrection is the substance of Christianity that separates it from other religions. The resurrection of Christ is what gives, credence, substance and validity to our faith.
The greatest event in the history of the world is the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and it shows even in our calendars and the way we document dates (BC – Before Christ & AD – Anno Domini/In the year of our Lord).
Without resurrection there wouldn’t be anyone to refer to as Christians.
God doesn’t want this to be a story that we share, He wants it to be our lifestyle, and that’s why the Bible says the apostles gave witness to the resurrection of Christ and great grace was upon them.
Who is a witness?
A witness is someone who has personal knowledge about something, someone who serves as evidence, proof, testimony or validation of facts of an event.
God wants our lives to serve as evidence of the testimony of the resurrection of Christ.
God says He wants our lives to be the validity of His reality.
People should look at your life and say, “This one is with God.” Just as they looked at Peter and Paul in Acts chapter 4:13 and saw how bold they were and they said, “These ones have been with Jesus.”
When people begin to see the results and the miracles in your life they will say ‘Jesus is alive.’ You cannot see the resurrection of Christ and your life would not be transformed (Mark 16:14-20)
