The Power Of A Strong Spirit. Man is a three-part being, fundamentally a spirit living in a body that has a soul. Proverbs 18:14 AMPC) Luke 1:80 AMPC). You are not your body; your body is just a casing. It is important to pay attention to your body but not to the detriment of your spirit. That is why we see that even though we are born again, we are prone to issues that should not affect us as Christians because we pay so much attention to our bodies and not our spirits. You can look good on the outside and be lean in the spirit; the implication of that is that you will be slammed by depression.
Death explains that every part of our being will return to its source. When we die, our bodies go back to the ground, and our spirits and souls go back to God. It is important to note that when God breathed into man, He breathed the spirit and the soul. The spirit and soul are closely knit (Hebrews 4:12 NKJV).
Your Spirit needs to grow. At salvation, your spirit was recreated, and because every part of your being needs to grow, you need to grow your spirit.
Like newborn babies, you must crave pure spiritual milk so that you will grow into a full experience of salvation. Cry out for this nourishment, (1 Peter 2:2 NLT)
(Hebrews 5:11&14 AMPC). Challenges and situations in life grow in levels, some things don’t respond to milk, they respond to solid food. When you don’t eat solid food, the things that normally should not get you down will slam you. If you have recurrent issues, you need to check what you have been feeding on because you are only as strong as what you eat. If all you still consume is milk, there is only so far you can advance in life. You can be delivered and not be free but when you grow fat on the food of God your issues can no longer oppress you.
