Discipleship

God’s Star-Making Process by Pastor Timilehin Mogaji

In the sermon “God’s Star-Making Process,” Pastor Timilehin Mogaji delivers a soul-stirring message about how God transforms ordinary people into spiritual stars leaders who shine with divine influence.

He draws from Daniel 12:3 and Matthew 28:18–19 to show that God’s true harvest is not measured in cars, money, or status, but in souls transformed and discipled for His glory. Evangelism, he emphasizes, is only the beginning of the journey, discipleship and leadership complete it.

The True Measure of a Harvest:

Many believers equate success with material blessings, but Pastor Mogaji reminds us that heaven counts differently.
God’s ultimate harvest is the number of lives pulled out of darkness into His marvelous light.

“It’s not just about getting people saved,” he explains. “It’s about raising disciples who grow, lead, and shine for God.”

Every believer is called not just to preach but to lead others into lasting transformation, guiding them to maturity in faith and purpose.

Salvation: Accepting the Nature of Righteousness

The journey begins with salvation. This is where we accept Christ, receive His righteousness, and start our walk of faith.

But salvation is more than a confession, it’s the beginning of God’s refining process. As Pastor Mogaji teaches, “Salvation plants the seed of righteousness, but that seed must grow.”

Through prayer, obedience, and daily devotion, God molds believers into vessels fit to carry His light.

 Discipleship: The Process of Transformation

Discipleship is where the real transformation happens. It’s in this stage that character is shaped, faith is tested, and understanding deepens.

Pastor Mogaji warns that “Evangelism without discipleship is incomplete victory.” A believer who isn’t discipled may easily fall back into old habits because growth requires guidance.

Just as Jesus walked with His disciples, teaching and correcting them, so must we nurture new believers, helping them become rooted and grounded in truth.

Leadership: Becoming a Beacon of Influence

The final stage of God’s star-making process is leadership.
When believers mature through discipleship, they begin to influence others, reproducing righteousness in their communities.

This is the point where a Christian becomes a star, someone who reflects Christ’s light and guides others toward Him.
Every believer is called to lead, whether in the marketplace, the classroom, or the church.

A Call to Reflection: What Is God Gaining From Your Life?

We often count our blessings, but how often do we measure our impact for God’s kingdom? Every believer is a full-time ambassador of Christ, called to influence lives and leave a spiritual legacy that shines forever.

God’s desire is not only for His children to be saved but to shine, to lead others into righteousness and purpose.
When we evangelize, disciple, and lead, we reflect the very image of God on earth. “Those who lead many to righteousness will shine like the stars forever.” Daniel1:12:3

Let your life become a radiant example of God’s grace.
You are not just saved to sit, you are chosen to shine.
