The Ultimate Role Model

John 13:15 (NLT)
“I have given you an example to follow. Do as I have done to you.”

Every generation looks for people to emulate. But in a world that celebrates fame over faith, the true idea of role modeling is fading fast.

When God solved the problem of sin, He didn’t just save us; He gave us a pattern to follow. Jesus came to rewrite the manual for mankind. His life was a template of humility, love, and service. He washed His disciples’ feet to show that true leadership is serving others, even when they don’t deserve it. That’s the foundation of raising role models.

In a culture that measures success by possessions and popularity, God’s standard is different. His measurement isn’t what we’ve done compared to others, but who we are compared to who He’s called us to be. The true measure of godliness isn’t in how loudly we pray or how many verses we can quote, it’s in how deeply we love.

Love is God’s character, and the heart of raising role models is developing people who love sacrificially. The early believers were called Christians because they looked and lived like Jesus. Today, carrying the title “Christian” means little if the evidence isn’t visible. People should be able to look at our lives and say, “This person reminds me of Christ.”

The church isn’t an entertainment centre, it’s a production house for raising role models who reflect the character and competence of Jesus. Our greatest assignment is to reproduce people who love, lead, and live like Him.

Jesus didn’t just come to save us; He came to show us how to live.

As we follow His example, we become the best version of ourselves—and together, we’ll keep raising role models who look like Christ.
