Family Success

Family Success. The dimension of love we are expected to give as Christians cannot be given by people who aren’t living the resurrected life (Ephesians 5:25 NLT)

Apostle Paul’s command in Ephesians chapter 5 goes both ways; it’s not a one-sided statement.

And further, submit to one another out of reverence for Christ. (Ephesians 5:21NLT)

The best husband and the best wife is the resurrected one who is powered by the Holy Spirit. Sometimes we might come upon hard times in a marriage and be tempted to ‘Put born again aside’. To put born-again aside is to exhibit a life that is self-willed and not submitted to the Holy Spirit.

When you say this, Christ ceases to be at the center of your life and you become self-Centered, and when this happens, things will go wrong.

The fruit of the Holy Spirit is displayed when you choose to loose control to Him. Beautiful character fruits show in our lives when we give up what we feel like doing to do what the Holy Spirit tells us to do.

But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. (Galatians 5:22NLT)

These fruits will not show until you go through some things, for there to be testimonies there must be tests.

When you yield control to the Holy Spirit, there will be joy, peace and happiness in your home. Listening to Him will save you unnecessary pressure.

As a single person, when you consider the qualities you want in a spouse, prioritize hearing from God.

Charm is deceptive, and beauty does not last; but a woman who fears the Lord will be greatly praised. (Proverbs 31:30 NLT)

There is no perfect marriage because there are no perfect people, that is why we need the help of the Holy Spirit.

Our marriages can thrive in spite of challenges when we give the Holy Spirit preeminence. In every situation ask the Holy Spirit what you should do.
