Blossoming By Faith 2. We need to obey God even when it does not make sense. When God gives us instructions there are things He has planned for that we don’t see. There is a slight difference between believing and having faith (James 2:14 NLT). The proof that you have faith is seen in your actions. Until you act by faith, Heaven will not move, the proof of faith is action, if you don’t act, you don’t have faith.
You say you have faith, for you believe that there is one God. Good for you! Even the demons believe this, and they tremble in terror. How foolish! Can’t you see that faith without good deeds is useless? (James 2:19-20NLT)
James 2:21-22NLT. Having faith without actions is like running on one leg, you can try to run but you won’t go far before you get exhausted. When was the last time you started something or did something because God told you to do so? We have been tricked to think that God is limited by our own resources. For us to blossom this year we must take our focus away from what we have and focus on God because He can breathe on what we have and turn it to what we need.
Lessons on blossoming from a widow. (2 Kings 4:1-3NLT)
- Faith is created by revelation: There is no faith without “God said” so what is God telling you? Make a decision to not take action until you hear God.
- Don’t fear criticism: If you are going to achieve anything worthwhile, it comes with criticism. Most of the time we react to criticism and get emotional, but we should instead just treat it as feedback. If what they say about you is not true, discard of it and face your goal.
- Just do it : (2 kings 4:5 NLT). Do it afraid, it is when you make a move that God moves.
