The Presence of God (2)

Pastor Sam Adeyemi

Text: Psalm 114:1 (NLT)

The presence of Jesus meant provision. The disciples of God enjoyed preservation when Jesus was with them, He was their source of power (Luke 10:17). The disciples got angry when Jesus started talking about His death. They were concerned about the things they gained from His presence. Jesus gave the disciples a promise when He was about leaving John 14-17 (NLT)

God never designed human experience without His presence. The consciousness of the presence of God transformed Peter into an advocate of God. When Christ died and resurrected, the disciples were scared until the day the advocate arrived and filled them, they become bold and powerful.

We need to cultivate the same consciousness of the presence of the Holy Spirit. We need to involve the Holy Spirit in our lives, in our daily moves. If you are not conscious of the presence of the Holy Spirit when you are alone, how will you be able to be conscious of Him in a crowd?

Be always conscious of God’s presence. His presence means victory of self, sin and satan.
