Let’s talk about love and leadership. In Nigeria currently, we have many issues, one of which is the unrest, because of the Naira redesign that has resulted in low cash flow in the country.
The problems we have can be resolved if we, as leaders, take it upon ourselves to solve them. Yes, we are all leaders in the space that we exist in, in the jobs that we hold, and we all hold power to change situations.
God expects us to Lead with Love:
We should be like the ‘Good Samaritan’ in expressing love even to strangers. We have to show mercy to others, we must not be selfish. (Luke 10:25-37)
We need to work together to change the world:
No matter how little you have, you have something. If you don’t have money or financial ability, you have the ability to be sympathetic and show care.
But let’s talk about how the man in the good Samaritan story got to where he was; ambushed and injured at the side of the road, it’s because of the lack of love and the wickedness in people’s hearts.
People extorting others, stealing from them, and causing others pain cannot claim to have the love of God.
Nigeria has been like a sinking ship for many years, just on a downward spiral with no end in sight.
Many people have jumped ship and left, just so they and their loved ones can survive. So we must draw closer to God now more than ever, let Him speak to your heart and show you what to do in this season.
If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
~ 2 Chronicles 7:14
Stay woke, stay alive, stay wide-eyed, and open in the Spirit because things are happening and have been happening for a long time.
Love and leadership go hand in hand:
We must start to lead in love right from our homes. We cannot lead our communities or our nation or the world, if we cannot lead with love in our homes.
You and I are light in the world, hence, we must be the voice of love and our brother’s keeper and shun the works of wickedness. This is the only way the world can work in peace.
