There’s something powerful that happens when we begin to see people the way God sees them.

Prayer for Souls is about awakening to the reality that God created every human being in His image to reflect His glory.

God didn’t just create us to exist; He created us to shine. Like stars, we are designed to light up our world. And that’s why the environment we’re in matters, because environment shapes expression. Daystar is more than just a church; it’s a kingdom environment created by God to nurture the greatness He placed within each of us.

From creation, God invested immense capacity in man (Genesis 1:26–28, Psalm 8:3–8).

We were made with both physical and spiritual life, capable of thinking, creating, and ruling. But something went wrong, sin.

Romans 3:23 reminds us that sin entered and distorted God’s original design. Sin isn’t just bad behavior; it’s a nature, the nature of Satan, and it lies at the root of every evil, suffering, and greed in the world today.

That’s why prayer for souls is not just a religious activity; it’s a rescue mission. 2 Corinthians 4:3–4 shows us that Satan blinds people’s minds so they cannot understand the good news.

A blinded mind is a stranded life. But through prayer, those blindfolds are removed and hearts become open to truth.

When you pray for someone’s soul, you’re doing more than interceding, you’re partnering with God to bring light into darkness. You’re stepping into spiritual warfare, as 2 Corinthians 10:3–5 explains, pulling down strongholds and lies that keep people captive.

And here’s the good news: before you even pray, the answer is already provided (Ephesians 1:16–20). God’s power is available; our role is to align with it through faith and thanksgiving.

So this week, don’t just pray for your needs, pray for souls. Pray that hearts will be open, minds enlightened, and destinies restored. Because when people see God’s glory through you, they will shine too.
