In a world filled with endless pursuits, distractions, and demands, Pastor Sam Adeyemi’s sermon, “Prioritize the Pursuit of God,” reminds us of one unshakable truth, when we put God first, everything else falls into place.
Matthew 6:33 (NKJV) says,
“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”
This scripture is not just a suggestion, it’s a principle for a fulfilled life. Jesus Himself laid out this principle. When we align our lives and put God first, we tap into a higher, stronger, and more enduring system than any human structure.
The world runs on human-built systems, governments, economies, and social hierarchies. but as citizens of God’s kingdom, we operate by a higher standard.
Putting God first is the principle that lifts us above the limitations of man-made structures and Jesus demonstrated this when He responded to tricky questions from religious leaders about earthly authority.
Many spend their lives chasing material things, yet Jesus taught that provision is already built into God’s kingdom. Our needs are automatically taken care of when we put God first.
When we choose God first, it means:
- Seeking His influence in every area of life: family, career, and relationships.
- Trusting His guidance over human wisdom.
- Operating in faith, not fear.
- Living with a Kingdom mindset that defies worldly limitations.
When we seek God first, we rise above anxiety, fear, and societal limitations.
We stop being victims of man-made systems and start thriving under God’s divine order. Promotion, provision, and influence flow effortlessly when we live by Kingdom principles.
Prioritize God in all you do, your time, your decisions, and your relationships. Let His values shape your life. When you do, you will experience divine provision, supernatural wisdom, and true fulfillment.
The choice is yours today. Will you continue striving under the weight of the world’s demands, or will you choose to put God first and walk in His supernatural abundance?
If your relationship with God isn’t where it should be, now is the time to get right with Him. Put your hand on your heart and say: “Lord, I put You first in my life. Guide me, lead me, and help me seek You above all else.”
