Holy Spirit; The resurrection power. For you to burst into a new season, something must first break forth inside you. Last week we spoke about resurrection and how in order to be resurrected, we must first be crucified. But in between crucifixion and resurrection there is the activity and the operation of an invisible power and that power is the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit is the resurrection power that raised Jesus.
Things that the Holy Spirit does for us as the resurrection power.
The Holy Spirit signifies the presence of God
The earth was formless and empty, and darkness covered the deep waters. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters. – Genesis 1:2 NLT
Here we can see that the Holy Spirit signifies the presence of God and nothing was done about creation without the involvement of the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit is ever present regardless of how we feel. We sometimes think that we have to feel the Holy Spirit to be convinced that He is there but we cannot reduce God to feelings.
You can’t reduce God to feelings, because the day you feel good you will feel like He is there and the day you don’t feel good you will feel like He is not there but God transcends our feelings.
The Holy Spirit is Jesus with us
For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit—makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image. – 2 Corinthians 3:18 NLT
Jesus was saying ‘I am sending you another helper of my kind’
The Holy Spirit empowers us
The Holy Spirit is the invisible power that transforms and helps us to conform to the image of Jesus. Jesus did not do anything until He was commissioned by the Holy Spirit.
…And you know that God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. Then Jesus went around doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him. – Acts 10:38
