Are you too busy for this? Recently, a renowned influential man posted a picture of himself helping his sons with school assignments, and this roused a lot of opinions on his post.
While some opined that he is a wealthy man who no longer needs to work so hard, hence he has free time on his hands, others felt he set his priorities right.
What do you think?
For me, I see a man who understands his ‘WHY’. A man who, when all is said and done, will have no regrets because he set his priorities right.
We live in a world where the false god of busyness reigns supreme. Yet we find that we are only too busy for things that don’t rank high on our priority list. And sadly, the home front; our most important work many times falls into this category.
Pastor Solomon juxtaposed building a home with building a company. And it goes without saying that the latter requires a lot of work. However, the dividends you stand to reap from a successful company cannot be overemphasized.
The same applies to building a home or a relationship, it is no less important than any endeavor we prioritize.
Perhaps, God is saying to you today like He did Martha –
‘Oh Martha, Martha, you are so anxious and concerned about a million details, but really, only one thing matters. Mary has chosen that one thing, and I won’t take it away from her.’ (Luke 10: 41 – 42)
