Do you know your community? There is a great need for all of us to have a community that we belong to. The company you keep will determine your accomplishments in life. It would be best if you had a community that you could easily move to.
Who is in your company?
With Peter and John (Acts 4:23-24), their companions came together and prayed and they were filled with the Holy Spirit. Wonderful things happen when you are in the company of the right people. There is a need for you to join positive company, the disciples formed their own community and people greatly benefitted from it.
Do you belong to a community?
All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord’s Supper, and to prayer. (Acts 2:42)
All the five purposes of the church happened in the community:
- Fellowship\Meeting together – Membership
- Spending time studying the word -Maturity
- Feeding of people and community service – Ministry
- Preaching the gospel – Mission
- Exalting and praising God -Worship
When these people were together in these communities, they took care of each other and treated themselves as family.
