Be Good And Do Good

Be Good And Do Good. You can’t give what you don’t have, being that we are of Christ, doing good is in our nature. If we are in Christ and we are not doing good, we are going against our nature, like a Lion who barks rather than roars.

You can’t value what you didn’t get by hunger, if it comes to you easily, there is a tendency for you not to value it. Similar to when we see free seminars, we might not be inclined to attend because we think there is little value. but when it is a paid event, we automatically put value to it. To be anointed is to be supernaturally consecrated and empowered to act through the presence of the Holy Spirit.

We are blessed to be a blessing. Many of us have the mentality of “Get all you can, can the can and sit on the can”. The essence of being anointed is to be a blessing. Every act of kindness is an opportunity to carry forward the ministry Christ has entrusted to us.

As much as people need spiritual food they also need physical food, they can only listen to you when their basic needs have been met.

Why do people hesitate to do good?

  • They have been hurt by previous experiences: People carry a lot of unreconciled hurt around and they have had bad experiences doing good to people, so they are wary of doing good to other people. Like what Joseph experienced with his brothers, he knew that God’s purpose for him was greater than what he had gone through.

Don’t let evil conquer you, but conquer evil by doing good. (Romans 12:21 NLT)

  • They believe that the little they have won’t be enough: Mans need is insatiable, nobody believes that they have enough. Having a scarcity mindset will hinder your ability to do good. (John 6:4-13NLT) You can do good with the little you have, it’s not about the quantity, it’s about the quality.
