Blossoming In Love 3

Blossoming In Love 3. Jesus had told His disciples that what would distinguish them from others wasn’t their outward appearance but their love for one another.

King Solomon said in Proverbs 30:18-19 NLT

There are three things that amaze me—no, four things that I don’t understand: how an eagle glides through the sky, how a snake slithers on a rock, how a ship navigates the ocean, how a man loves a woman.

People do crazy things because of love, It’s Valentine’s Day this week, do something for someone you love.

There is a story of a young boy who strayed onto train tracks and was unaware that a train was approaching. His father saw what was about to happen and ran towards the child and knocked him off the tracks just before the train hit, the boy was saved but his father lost his life. This story sums up what Jesus did for us (John 15:13 NLT). Love is the highest principle for relating with and transforming humans. Loving people when you relate with them transforms your relationship. Sacrifice is the highest demonstration of love. It is important to note that God chose to use love to change our world. (John 3:16 NLT). Experiencing love has a profound effect on us because it heals us and changes us. (Ephesians 5:25-27MSG) You can see from this passage that the love of Christ is intentional.

When you pay attention to God’s love expressed through His word, it evokes a wonderful reaction in you.

Here are some things that being loved by God does to us:

  • It gives us a feeling of acceptance
  • It builds our self-esteem
  • It removes anger and reduces our fear.
  • It removes hurt from our heart.

You need to allow God’s love to seep into your heart. You might have suffered pain and rejection and now be unfamiliar with how to receive love. You might have been hurt by people and begin to look at God in that same light, but God’s love is different, He loves you unconditionally and truly. The problem we have is that we don’t listen to Him enough so we can’t hear when He’s trying to tell us how much He loves us. Cultivate a close relationship with God so you can hear from Him. When you walk in the love of God, it influences how you relate with people and show them love.
