Doing Good (3)

Jesus came to the world, went through the countries, and used the resources heaven deposited on Him to do good of healing people. We are here because Jesus went about doing good with His anointing.

The purpose of the anointing is to solve problems.

You can not be truly anointed and do nothing about problems around you. Your life is too small to be the purpose of your life.

  • Lack of action is robbing us of traction. The smallest act of good is better than the grandest intention of good
  • Lack of action makes us waste God’s grace. Take your grace and work with it. James 2:14-17 (NLT) Faith is not enough unless it produces good works, otherwise it’s dead and useless.

The Apostles were big on action.

The first basic need of everybody is the need to be free from sin. Acts 2:13-41 (NLT) The Apostles were committed to meeting that first need, and we must be committed too.

Secondly, the met practical needs Acts 2:44-47 (NLT). Action of faith includes meeting basic practical needs of other people, such as foods and clothing.

Basic needs depend on the levels where people are in their lives. For some, their needs are beyond basic needs. Using Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, we realize that everybody has a need.

34 “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the creation of the world.

35 For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home. 36 I was naked, and you gave me clothing. I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison, and you visited me.’

37 “Then these righteous ones will reply, ‘Lord, when did we ever see you hungry and feed you? Or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 Or a stranger and show you hospitality? Or naked and give you clothing? 39 When did we ever see you sick or in prison and visit you?’

40 “And the King will say, ‘I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters,[a] you were doing it to me!’

Matthew 25:34-40 (NLT)

Actions in these verses are quite instructive. Many will be welcomed with open arms by God because they took action by faith.

We are not saved by works, but we are saved to do good works,

Here in Daystar, we have platforms for people to do good and serve others. We have the cell fellowships, the service units, specialized ministries, all meant for people to use their anointing to do good.

To join our small group leaders, go to bit.ly/cellsignup. To join our service unit, visit daystarng.org/getinvolved.

We are recipients of God’s mercy. This week, regardless of your qualifications, you are experiencing miracles of mercy.
