Are you going through a difficult situation?
There is a story of how God exploited what the adversary intended for evil to do good. That is Joseph’s story. It is a tale of grace that demonstrates God’s power over evil. God transforms the terrible into the awesome. We rarely comprehend the challenges we face, and regardless of how bad things appear to be, God is in charge.
Joseph’s narrative serves as a constant reminder that God’s purpose is always in motion. No matter what you are going through, God can make good out of it.
But Joseph said to them,
Don’t be afraid. Am I in the place of God? You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.
~ (Genesis 50:19-20 NIV)
The ill intentions of man can be used for good by God. He can use the anguish and pain we go through to bring about a blessing that lasts far longer than our own and benefits future generations.
Many people initially struggle to find the positive in a negative situation. But if you have faith and trust in the Lord, you may look back on a difficult situation and realize that God can use it for your good.
Even though you are unable to recognize God’s blessing right now, keep looking forward to it.
The question is: Do you look for it?
Will you acknowledge, accept, hold on, and believe that God can use the challenging circumstances in your life for good?
Even when you can’t see past the suffering, have confidence and hope in God’s rescue. Remember, God is in charge.
..And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.
(Philippians 4:19)
