The Power of Community

The Power of Community. If you want the best Christian experience, pay close attention to the explosive beginning of the church in the New Testament.

Pay attention to Christ, His teachings, His life, death and resurrection, and also pay attention to the behaviours of the first set of Christians. These will help you understand and be close to the original template of Christianity.

Under the old covenant, only a few people were anointed, and only a small group of people could prophesy, but as the Holy Spirit came under the New Covenant, it came on everybody, power was decentralized, everybody was anointed and had the power.

Because they were all anointed, ministry happened everywhere, up until then, before you worshipped God, you had to go to one place. (Acts 5:42 NLT).

Many Christians today have not made this shift in their thought process yet, they still believe that it is those people that stand on the stage that are ministers of the Gospel.

What is the work of Church leadership really?

(Ephesians 4:11-12 KJV, Ephesians 4:11-12 NLT)

Their job is to equip you to do the work of the ministry. In several cultures people revere and almost worship their spiritual leaders, this is not to say that they should not respect them but it should not get to the point of disrupting the structure of the church.

The jobs of pastors is to train you to do ministry work because you are also anointed, the same Holy Spirit in your Pastor is the one in you.

Congratulations, you are a woman/man of God!

You have a challenge today to accept the responsibility to meet people’s needs with the wisdom and the power of God. To do this, you have to get ready to lead small communities, we are a community but we still need sub-communities.

Nowadays with the power of technology we can have these meetings anywhere we want but we need to first accept the responsibility to lead a small community of people.

The more you teach people, the more you have to learn and model what you are teaching. This challenges you to continue to grow in your learning and your character.

As a Christian, you cannot afford to put your hopes in man-made systems, they cannot be perfect and they aren’t driven by love, but God’s family is driven by love. (Acts 2:42 NLT)

Make it a goal to lead a small community as soon as possible.
