The Witness 5. Why were the disciples of Christ willing to die witnessing to the fact that Christ died for man’s sins and God raised him from the dead? There must be something beyond the ordinary that would make someone willing to go through torture and jail for a cause. It is because they saw Christ die and resurrect and they were convinced. Apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 15:3-8 listing the people that had seen Christ post-resurrection. Based on the truth of Christ’s resurrection that the disciples knew, they were unstoppable in spreading the good news of Christ.
Jesus said to him, “Because you have seen Me, do you now believe? Blessed [happy, spiritually secure, and favoured by God] are they who did not see [Me] and yet believed [in Me].” (John 20:29 AMP)
Jesus was talking about us, we who came thousands of years after His resurrection and heard and believed. 1 Corinthians 2:7-8 TPT. A lot of the time we give the devil the power he doesn’t have. If only the devil knew that what you are going through will give you glory. It is a day of celebration! Nothing can take the reality of resurrection away from us. The Acts of the Apostles was written because the Apostles acted. Share your story and your testimony, it’s time for you to be a witness.
