What is faith for Increase?
It is God’s desire that we grow and prosper exceedingly. (Genesis 1:28-29).
He desires us to move from fruitfulness to multiplication to subduing.
There is no amount of sidestepping the process that will make God move you from fruitfulness to multiplication, if your faith is not ready to carry it.
Fruitfulness is a phase, and for every phase, God requires faithfulness, consistency and contentment.
Many people have tried to sidestep the process and jump from fruitfulness to multiplication when their time is not yet ripe, and they end up doing things that they never imagined they would do.
When we try to sidestep the process, instead of allowing God to walk us through it, we will always end up corrupt.
God wants you to prosper progressively, He won’t give you what your faith cannot carry.
If you are faithful and consistent God will not allow financial challenges that are bigger than your current income. Say you earn 150,000 Naira and you manage your money well, God won’t give you a challenge of 5million Naira.
When you understand that God wants you to prosper, then you understand that He will not let you go through challenges that are bigger than your income, because He will never allow you become tempted beyond what you can bear.
God is procedural, He does things in phases, He won’t allow you go into success that is bigger than your level.
The Four Phases of Increase
- Fruitfulness: In this phase, God gives everyone seeds, it might be in different forms, but everyone has what it takes to move from nothing to something. God will never leave you without something that you can use to create your next level. You need to discover and engage what God has given to you.
- Multiplication: Everything of value that God created, He programmed to multiply; plants, animals, humans. You need to increase the seed that God has given to you on a large scale in this phase. Like Job, God wants you to increase and multiply.
- Diversification: God wants you to create a range of products.
His substance also was seven thousand sheep, and three thousand camels, and five hundred yoke of oxen, and five hundred she asses, and a very great household; so that this man was the greatest of all the men of the east.
~ Job 1:3 NLT
Multiplication requires diversification, Job was smart and diversified his cattle smartly.
Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the Lord blessed him. And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great: For he had possession of flocks, and possession of herds, and great store of servants: and the Philistines envied him.
~ Genesis 26:12-14
- Subdue: Subduing is first a mindset, the same way wealth and poverty are mindsets. There is a difference between the way the rich and the poor think. The rich think ‘seeds’, the poor think ‘harvest.’
And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
~ Genesis 1:26
