Good Health 2
God built Israel into a new nation, and he told them that he would personally ensure they enjoy good health. Israel’s journey also involved the sacrifice of a lamb by each family, this act activated the covenant that Abraham had with God, and it brought the Israelites into oneness with God.
So this consciousness of our oneness with God that was activated when Jesus died on the cross is available to us and critical to us enjoying Good health and healing. (John 10:30) – Jesus was conscious of his oneness with God.
For us to enjoy the provision of the covenant of good health that God has made available to us, we must constantly be mindful of our oneness with God. You must always know that regardless of whatever is happening around you, you have come into oneness with God.
The conditions God attached to the promise of good health are; obeying his commands and keeping all his decrees. (Matthew 6:33) Our faith in God for good health can produce results when we work in obedience to God.
Christ summarised all the commandments to ‘Love’ (Matthew 22:36-40 ). In Galatians 5:24, Apostle Paul speaks about love being the ultimate commandment. You can’t do love and fail. To enjoy a good quality of life, we must walk in love.
Our capacity to walk in love affects our faith more than religious activities. If we focus on being religious rather that spreading the love of God then it will be to no gain (Galatians 5:6)
The negative thoughts, emotions and actions created by interacting with others can create spiritual distortions that affect our health.
