Have you paid your debt?

Church was wonderful on Sunday. Starting from the word from Pastor Boye Oloyede, down to the beautiful rendition of ‘Where is the love’ by the Healing Streams of God, what a service we had!

I saw a movie recently and It was about a lady who wanted to become a partner at a law firm.

It seemed like a noble cause, but little did she know that the price she would pay to achieve her dream would be enormous.

She was made to ‘remove a lot of values’ and became a puppet in the firm — doing the bidding of her boss to the detriment of others, so she lost friends in the process and became a selfish human to achieve her goals.

She knew she was heavily in debt. And no, it wasn’t money, it was love. She was however already neck deep into the process, and backing out wasn’t an option for her.

To make matters worse, she wasn’t made a Partner at the end of the day. Did I hear you say ‘that serves her right?’.

On the flip side, would her actions be justified if she became a Partner?

People often say the end justifies the means, however, this cannot be our narrative as believers, the journey is just as important as the destination. Our journey must depict LOVE from start to finish.

God is counting on us in every sector to shine our light. You are a leader at whatever rung of the ladder you find yourself so make sure you are debt free and remember to lead with love.
