In Pursuit of Resurrection. We tend to fear what we don’t know much about; a lot of people fear death because they don’t know about it. For us believers, we have nothing to be afraid of, Christ died and conquered death for our sake.
Death is never the end, it is only a channel to another dimension, just as our lives started before we were born.
I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb. Before you were born, I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations. (Jeremiah 1:5 NLT)
When it comes to the topic of death, we cannot build our faith on what people say. A lot of cultures have different beliefs about death and resurrection and, in some cases, reincarnation. We cannot trust any man’s revelation but we can trust God’s revelation.
Our relationship with Christ is eternal and since death and resurrection happened to Him, it will definitely happen to us, Christ resurrection and our resurrection are inseparably joined.
Resurrection is the raising of the dead, it is humanly impossible, it is a supernatural thing that happens by the power of God. The death and resurrection of Jesus validated His identity as the divine son of God. Jesus came to give us a relationship with God, to reconcile us to our position with Him.
Christ’s death, burial and resurrection is the crux of the Gospel and the core of the message of good news. Christ conquered death so as believers we have no reason to fear death.
We are already victorious over death and sin, so we should not be afraid of death.
