The presence of God is significant for human functioning. We were not designed to go through life alone.
Romans 6: 23 – For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
Sin was the problem when man disobeyed God, but God sent the solution through Jesus Christ.
Romans 6:23 – For the wages of sin is death, but the [a]gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Emmanuel means God is with us. God is not only with us, He is also in us. We are God’s address. Where do you need to run to when the presence of God is in you?
The presence of God is in you, so you don’t have to wait to feel the presence of God. Whether you feel it or not, God is with you.
Extraordinary things happen when two or more people that are carrying God’s presence come together – 1 John 1:3 (NLT). The early Christians knew that when they gathered in fellowship, the presence of God was with them.
Fellowship with believers commands God’s presence. There is pronounced spiritual activity where two or more believers get together.
But for the most part, the presence of God is intangible when we come together.
No, you have come to Mount Zion, to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to countless thousands of angels in a joyful gathering. You have come to the assembly of God’s firstborn children, whose names are written in heaven. You have come to God himself, who is the judge over all things. You have come to the spirits of the righteous ones in heaven who have now been made perfect. You have come to Jesus, the one who mediates the new covenant between God and people, and to the sprinkled blood, which speaks of forgiveness instead of crying out for vengeance like the blood of Abel.~ Hebrew 12:22 – 24
Whenever we come together, God is present, Jesus Christ is present, and innumerable company of angels are present. You need to value and prioritize fellowship with other believers.
The more challenging it gets in our world, the more critical it is for us to fellowship with other believers. When you fellowship with other believers:
- You experience freedom from sin and guilt. 1 John 1:7.
- You get encouragements. Hebrews 10:25.
- You experience inspiration and revelation. Acts 2:16.
- You will be filled with spiritual boldness and confidence.
When two or more believers come together, virtually or physically, the supernatural world also shows up.
Time is your most valuable resource, you need to plan how to use it. Don’t spend it anyhow. Your time is your life, not just a part of your life.

Plan how you invest your time in the following manners:
- Invest time in your personal fellowship with God
- Invest time in family fellowship
- Invest time in fellowship with other believers
- If you can invest time fellowshipping with God in your business. Don’t spend the time you should attend to customers praying and fasting; you will be broke. But still, find time for God in your business.
