6p.m. tonight, there’s war!
The devil is not here to play with you, he is here to take you out…’

The setting was the valley of Elah; God’s children on the one side and the Philistines on the other side led by a rather gregarious giant named Goliath.
For 40 days, Goliath huffed and puffed, scorning God’s people.
For 40days, God’s people cowered and retreated, saying nothing.
Until David, a boy on assignment, showed up.
And as he heard Goliath, He decided he would go out there, fight and win.
As Goliath spoke, David spoke back, even more.
Goliath said he would give David’s flesh to the birds and wild animals
David said he would kill Goliath, cut off his head, then give the dead bodies of his men (not just him) to the birds and wild animals.
David out-spoke the giant.
Even though it was a physical battle, the real war was one of words.
Like Goliath, the devil is always speaking through our circumstances. He is not playing. He wants to take us out and he uses words.
Like David, we must learn to fight back and fight well.

Don’t just speak reality, speak revelation. And that revelation is the WORD OF GOD and we know that the WORD WORKS.
