Creative Power of Faith 3
Last week, it was established that, “Adversity is our opportunity to unleash creativity.”
For us to be creative in faith, we need to:
- Accept that creativity is in our nature.
- Access the raw materials for creation.
- Say what God said.
Furthermore, in order to create, we have to:
(1) Dare to act on God’s instructions or inspired ideas.
Obeying God’s instruction may make you look stupid with men. When you take a step of faith and obey God, your life becomes beautifully different.
Until you act on God’s instruction, you don’t engage God’s power.
In John 2, when they ran out of wine at a wedding event, the mother of Jesus intervened and told them, “Whatever Jesus says to you, do it.” Subsequently, a miracle happened as a result of their obedience.
You have to be ready to take risks. Conveying God’s instruction might be risky to us, but it is not a risk to God. Do what God asks you to do!
(2) Be patient and persistent.
Turning invisible realities into visible realities takes time.
Elijah prayed for rain and continued in prayer while his servant went to check seven times.
Make consistent investments and stay with God’s word. (2 Peter 3:9)
God could have created everything in nanoseconds, but He made it in 6 days. He set a precedent for us.
1 Corinthians 4:16 – 18 (MSG)
Stay with what God has said!
“The word became flesh…” John 1:14 (MSG) Every word God gives you this new season will become flesh. Amen.
